FIRM HISTORY
Blumenstiel, Huhn, Adams & Evans, LLC had its beginning in the early
1960's when Attorneys Robert Tyler, William A. Richards, C. Richard
Grieser and Dale C. Schafer (all who were either World War II or Korean
War vets) formed a new law firm specializing in the Federal Employers'
Liability Act and other personal injury litigation. They were designated
counsel for numerous railroad unions throughout this country.
Over the years, the firm evolved into Blumenstiel, Huhn, Adams & Evans,
LLC. after Attorney James B. Blumenstiel joined in 1970, followed by
Attorneys Daniel M. Slane, Richard M. Huhn and Mark A. Adams.
As a result of representing railroad unions, the firm has litigated in
virtually every state east of the Mississippi River, in both state and
federal courts, and argued appeals in numerous federal and state
appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
As the years passed, the firm broadened its base from Federal Employers'
Liability Act to product liability, toxic tort, automobile cases,
medical malpractice, contract litigation and probate litigation.
After Attorney Slane retired from the firm to pursue real estate
development full time and Attorney Rick Huhn left to write two novels
and a baseball biography, the firm added Attorney J. Michael Evans in
September, 2001.
Laura C. Blumenstiel, a 1997 OSU law graduate who worked for a defense
firm for a number of years, joined us in 1999; Aaron R. Falvo, a 2003
Capital Law School graduate, joined the firm in 2003; and most recently,
Braden A. Blumenstiel, a 2004 OSU law graduate, joined the firm in 2004.
With the addition of Attorneys Mike Evans, Laura Blumenstiel, Aaron
Falvo and Braden Blumenstiel, the firm has expanded its traditional
service base of personal injury litigation to now include probate
litigation, probate administration, estate planning, business formation,
transactional law, business litigation, bankruptcy and debtor-creditor
law.
